F-35 Hangar

MCAS Miramar Aircraft Hangar and Flight Simulator

Project Description

The project consisted of the construction of a new aircraft maintenance hangar and aircraft parking apron extension, along with a new flight simulator building. The 100-acre extension to the parking apron included demolition, reconstruction, and extension of airfield pavement. The renovated area will support over 30 parked F-35 and C-130 aircraft. The flight simulator facility was constructed to support six full mission simulators and includes administrative and conference spaces, classrooms, and a parking lot.
